The best value laptops under R10 000

R10 000 buys an entry-level consumer laptop new. Spend it on a refurbished business laptop instead and you get a machine that cost far more when new: a stronger build, a better keyboard and, in most cases, a Core i5 or i7 with 16GB of RAM and a fast SSD. Every laptop on this page is under R10 000 excluding VAT, professionally tested, with genuine Microsoft Windows Professional and a 1-year warranty.

What to look for at this price

For most people the sweet spot is an 8th generation or newer Core i5 with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. That runs Office, browsing, email and video calls comfortably, and meets Microsoft’s Windows 11 requirement.
