Where the stock comes from
Big companies overseas run their IT on a refresh cycle of roughly three to four years. When that cycle ends the hardware is retired in bulk, while most of it still has years of service left in it. We import that stock through our Device Shop branch in the UK, sourced from corporates in Europe, the USA and the UAE, and we top it up from registered South African partners.

What happens before a laptop gets listed
Nothing goes from the pallet to the shelf. Each unit runs through the same process:
- Full hardware diagnostic on the battery, screen, keyboard, ports, Wi-Fi and webcam.
- Secure wipe of the original drive, so no previous owner data survives.
- Replacement of any failed part, most often the battery, the drive or a worn keyboard.
- Clean install of genuine Windows Pro with current drivers.
- Deep clean of the chassis, screen and vents, then a final soak test before it is listed.
Anything that fails a step gets repaired or stripped for spares. It does not get sold as working stock.
Grades A, B and C, explained
The grade on a listing describes appearance, not performance. An A-grade chassis has almost no visible wear. A B-grade one has light scuffs. A C-grade one may carry visible marks on the lid or palm rest. All three are tested to the same standard and carry the same warranty, which is why C-grade stock is often the smart buy for a busy office or a school lab where machines pick up marks anyway.
